'Station Guest House'
"Staff were very pleasant, helpful, polite and friendly . Room was clean and good value for money A very pleasant one night stay would recommend it to anyone. Breakfast was plentiful and hot Station parking was exceptional £2.50 fro 24 hours"

'My sons wedding.'
"Was very happy that you are right next door to train station. The staff were amazing. Our room and view was lovely. Very clean and a lovely comfy bed.Appreciate the info in room and tea faculties. Had an amazing champagne breakfast, especially the mushrooms. We had three rooms and all enjoyed our stay. Helped our weekend wedding get off to a really good start. Thank you. Only complaint is bathroom floor really creaky ( old building so can't be helped )."

'Friendly staff, great breakfasts!'
"Nice place, friendly greeting and great breakfasts. The room was above the canopy of a working station and if you didn't draw the curtains passengers crossing the twin footbridges would be able to look into the room, but that was no problem. The room was clean and well appointed and the staff in the cafe below were friendly and welcoming. The locals often come there for breakfast and are on first name terms with the staff. My only criticism would be the flimsy lavatory seat, which was loose on arrival. It was tightened up as soon as we reported it but it was very flexible and unsubstantial."

'What helpful staff!'
"I recommend this excellent guest house. On arrival my bag was carried to our room. The cooked breakfast in The Whistle Stop cafe downstairs was delicious and not at all greasy. The coffee was strong and good. From our very comfortable room at the back the view was fabulous of the water and boats. With a front door key we could come in and out whenever we wanted. And even more wonderful, when I rang to say I had left things behind they sent them to me free of charge, refusing a refund of postage! Thank you so much."

'Bed share'
"The family, who run round to make the guests happy are lovely. The room was very clean and comfortable. The mattress was a little firm (but then everyone is different). My only complaint was having four lovely pillows, when I only needed one (but I don't watch television in bed). I could not bring myself to put them on the floor. The ensuite was excellent. Breakfast was very nice, and I had green tea. I asked for 1 slice of toast, and received 2). The variety was excellent. The omelette may have used milk, whereas I have always used water since 1943, when my mother showed me how to make an omelette; perhaps a little denser than I normally have."

'Excellent quality and value.'
"The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, the location was ideal for our purpose (family wedding at Woodhall Manor) and very picturesque, with a short walk (under 5 minutes) to a lovely country town with excellent shops and banking facilities. The rooms in the guest house and the food were of a very high standard and we would definitely visit again. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay."
